Friends of Muskegon County Parks Advisory Committee

ATTENTION FRIENDS COMMITTEE MEMBERS: THE NOVEMBER FRIENDS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED, AND THE DECEMBER MEETING HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2016 AT 3:00 P.M. AT THE MUSKEGON COUNTY CVB, 610 W. WESTERN AVE., MUSKEGON.

The Friends of Muskegon County Parks Advisory Committee is a Board-appointed committee comprised of residents from each of the nine county commission districts. Members serve two-year terms.

District 3 – Lupe Alviar, Jr.
District 4 – William Stauter
District 5 – Jesse Brenner
District 6 – Terry MacAllister
District 7 – Jo-Lynn DeYoung

How Our Parks are Funded

The Muskegon County Parks are funded solely through user fees and grant funding, no general funds are used to sustain the parks. The Friends of the Parks have set-up a fund at the Community Foundation for Muskegon County to accept tax-deductible donations for park improvements.

The Friends of the Muskegon County Parks meet the 4th Wednesday of each month from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. at the Muskegon County CVB, 610 W. Western Avenue in the historic Union Depot.

Muskegon County Parks accepts cash and checks on-site. Credit cards can be used for online campsite reservations and on-site at Pioneer Park, Meinert Park, Twin Lake Park, and Blue Lake Park.
