Fall Migration Bird Hike

Fall Migration Bird Hike 🍂🐦
Fall migration is in full swing—what better way to enjoy it than a morning in nature with fellow bird enthusiasts? Join us for a guided hike through Dune Harbor Park in Muskegon County as we look and listen for the many species stopping by on their journey south.
The hike will be led by Spencer High, former President of the Grand Rapids Audubon Club, who will share bird facts, stories, and insights about the park along the way.
With the park’s prime location along Lake Michigan’s migratory pathway, every outing brings the chance for exciting sightings!
What to bring:
- Binoculars (a limited number will be available to borrow)
- Field guides if you have them
- Weather-appropriate clothing—it can be chilly and windy along the lakeshore this time of year
👉 Please register online so we can provide the right number of materials: Register here
This program is free to attend, but a Muskegon County Motor Vehicle Entry Permit (“Park Pass”) is required for all vehicles entering Dune Harbor County Park year-round.
- Day Pass: $7
- Seasonal Pass: $25
Your pass purchase directly supports our parks and programs like this one—thank you!
