Fall Bioblitz

Join us this fall to explore the biodiversity of Dune Harbor Park in Muskegon County! Together, we’ll document the many species that call the park home. By recording what we find, we can better understand habitat needs, support a healthy ecosystem, and contribute to the park’s growing biodiversity record on iNaturalist.

During the event, we’ll split into small teams for a slow, guided hike, taking photos and notes along the way. Spencer High from Querkus Creative will join us to answer questions and spark curiosity about the natural world found at Dune Harbor Park.

A variety of survey tools—such as dip nets, petri dishes, and microscopes—will be available for participants to use. If you’re experienced with biodiversity surveys, you’re welcome to bring your own equipment as well. To make the most of the event, we recommend downloading the iNaturalist app to your phone beforehand.
