Discover Biodiversity at Dune Harbor Park – Seminole Lot!

Join us as we explore the incredible biodiversity of Dune Harbor Park this summer and document everything we find! By identifying the species that call this park home, we can better understand their habitat needs and help support a healthy, thriving ecosystem.

All observations will be added to the park’s iNaturalist project, contributing to our collective knowledge of the web of life that shapes this beautiful landscape.

During the event, we’ll split into small teams and head out on a slow-paced hike to photograph and record the species we encounter. Spencer High from Querkus Creative will be on hand to answer questions and fuel your curiosity about the natural world.

We’ll have a variety of survey tools available—dip nets, petri dishes, a microscope, and more—but if you’re experienced with biodiversity surveys and have your own equipment, feel free to bring it along!

Tip: We recommend downloading the free iNaturalist app on your phone ahead of time to make uploading your observations easy and fun.
