Pioneer Park Lodge
The Pioneer Park Picnic Lodge is an ideal setting for family reunions, weddings, graduation parties, and other large group gatherings. The Lodge was built with timber harvested from the park by the Works Progress Administration in 1936. It showcases fine examples of the wood and stone craftsmanship from that era, such as hand-carved picnic tables, which can seat approximately 150 guests.
The Lodge has an indoor kitchen with a stove/oven, two refrigerators, a prep counter, and electrical outlets. There is no sink, but a water spigot is located on the back of the building. A restroom building is located next to the Lodge. Please note this restroom is not ADA-accessible. Lake Michigan Beach is within walking distance of the Lodge.
Every vehicle entering Pioneer Park must have a park pass. Park passes are $7.00 per day or $25.00 for the season. No Alcohol is allowed in any Muskegon County Parks.

Heritage Landing
Due to the high volume of requests for Heritage Landing rentals, we no longer accept phone requests. Requests must be made online. Summer rental space is also limited due to festivals and city-wide events. Rental contracts must be submitted at least two weeks before your event. All park areas are on a first-come, first-serve basis. The only exceptions to this rule are contracted festivals, events, and cruise ships.
All Campsite/Lodge/Shelter/Rental Cabin cancellations are made on the reservation website. Cancellations made 7 business days prior to your scheduled arrival date will incur the $10 cancellation fee. If you cancel 6 days or less prior to the arrival date, you will forfeit the first night’s fee or $75, whichever is the lesser amount. Once you have checked into your campsite, no refunds will be given for early departures.
Muskegon County Parks accepts cash and checks on-site. Credit cards can be used for online campsite reservations and on-site at Pioneer Park, Meinert Park, Twin Lake Park, and Blue Lake Park. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
