Muskegon County Parks has eight distinct parks located throughout the county. Three modern campgrounds, and eight different day use areas offer various campsites, rental cabins, picnic lodges and pavilions that are available to reserve for all of your outdoor adventures.

Meinert Park Picnic Shelter is located in the day use area next to the playground. The shelter offers picnic tables with seating for approximately forty (40) people, electrical outlets and a large grill for cooking. It is a short walk to the Lake Michigan beach restrooms and Lake Michigan beach day use area.

Cottage Amenities:
Accommodates maximum of 6 people.
You will need to bring cleaning items, bedding, towels, soaps and other personal items.
Rental Information:
The cottage may be rented by the day with a two (2) day minimum before Memorial Day or after Labor day or by the week (7 days maximum) during the Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day).
Check out time is at 11:00 a.m. Sunday and check in time is after 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
No pets allowed unless certified service animal.

Per week: $1,000.00
Before Memorial Weekend and After Labor Day
Per day: $150.00

The Pioneer Park Picnic Lodge is an ideal setting for family reunions, weddings, graduation parties and other large group gatherings. The Lodge was built with timber harvested from the park by the Works Progress Administration in 1936 . The lodge showcases fine examples of the wood and stone craftsmanship from that era, hand carved picnic tables can seat up to approximately 150 guests. The lodge has an indoor kitchen with stove/oven, two refrigerators, prep counter and electrical outlets . There is no sink, but a water spigot is located on the back of the building. A restroom building is located next to the picnic lodge, but is not ADA accessible. Lake Michigan Beach is within walking distance of the lodge.
Please note that every vehicle entering Pioneer Park must have a park pass.
Park passes are $5.00 per day or $20.00 for the season.
No Alcohol is allowed in any Muskegon County Parks.

The Twin Lake Picnic Lodge is an ideal setting for family reunions, graduation parties and other large group gatherings. The beautiful Twin lake Picnic Lodge was built by the Works Progress Administration around 1936. The lodge showcases fine examples of the wood craftsmanship form that era. The picnic lodge offers a large stove/oven for cooking, a sink, a refrigerator and electrical outlets. Restrooms, playground and a swimming beach on Twin lake are a short walk from the Lodge.
Please note that every vehicle entering Twin Lake Park must have a park pass.
Park Passes are $5.00 per day or $20.00 for the season.
No Alcohol or Drugs of any kind are allowed in Muskegon County Parks.

Lodge/Shelter/Rental Cabins
Cancellations can be made on the reservation website. Cancellations made up to close of business 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date will incur the $10 cancellation fee. If you cancel 6 days or less prior to the arrival date, you will forfeit the first night’s fee or $75, whichever is the lesser amount. There is a $10 fee assessed for all changes made to your reservation, except for adding nights to the reservation.
Muskegon County Parks accepts cash and checks on-site. Credit cards can be used for online campsite reservations and on-site at Pioneer Park, Meinert Park, Twin Lake Park, and Blue Lake Park. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
NO REFUNDS FOR CAMPING OR VEHICLE PERMIT FEES.
Heritage Landing rental information requests now come in a convenient digital form. Due to high volume, we no longer take phone requests. In view of the amount of annual festivals and events, summer rental space is limited. Rental contracts must be submitted at least two weeks before your event. Within two weeks, all park areas are first come, first serve. Exceptions to this rule are contracted festivals, events and cruise ships.

8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily from May 1 to September 30
8:00 am to dusk daily from October 1 to April 30
(Blue Lake Park is closed September 15 to May 15)
