Camp near Lake Michigan Beach, hike through the forested dunes, or rent a cabin to stay in with the whole family, all can be enjoyed at one of Muskegon County’s beautiful parks. If you enjoy the water you have come to the right place! Each one of Muskegon County’s eight parks has a unique water feature for you to explore!

Rent Campground Facilities
Reservations for 2025 Camping season will begin on the first business day of the year, Thursday, January 2nd at 8am. All reservations can be made online via the reservation website, no reservations will be taken over the phone. We recommend creating an account on the reservation website and familiarizing yourself with the website before January 2nd.

Muskegon County Parks

Blue Lake Park

Blue Lake Park is located along the shoreline of the crystal clear waters of Big Blue Lake. The park has a campground with with 25 campsites, modern restrooms and a day use area that is perfect for picnicking.

Pioneer Park

Our most popular park, Pioneer Park resides on 145 acres nestled in the forested sand dunes along Lake Michigan and offers camping, swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, tennis, softball, basketball and volleyball.

Meinert Park

Tucked away at the north end of the county, Meinert Park offers a quiet retreat for the outdoor enthusiast with a full hook up campground, playground, Lake Michigan Beach and hundreds of acres of natural areas to explore.

Twin Lake Park

Twin Lake is a popular 15-acre park on the shores of Twin Lake. It has a beautiful beach area, concessions, shaded picnic areas, rental pavilions and lodge, tennis courts, volleyball court, and an ADA playground.

Moore Park

Moore Park is a tranquil spot to go fishing or have a picnic. It is located on the shoreline of Half Moon Lake and has a small boat launch.

Patterson Park

Patterson Park is a serene picnic spot in the country with a beautiful trout stream that meanders through it and also has a new disc golf course.

Dune Harbor Park

The county's newest park, Dune Harbor Park has miles of trails through sandy dunes, a Lake Michigan beach and two inland lakes perfect for kayaking, fishing, and nature viewing. Located just south of Sherman Blvd. in Norton Shores, it feels like it is close to everything, yet away from it all.
